Use the images collated from my travels throughout the summer and produce a book a travel photography.
- Maybe narrow it down to Malaysia and borneo?
- Maybe travel portraiture 'Faces of the world'?
- Maybe just the images from the orphanage?
- Maybe the animals I photographed?
There are so many strong images from these travels that a book could be easily produced and to an extremely high level.
Idea 2: Night Photography
As I produced a large amount of night photography for the last assignment and it was all scrapped at the last minute I have a hankering to actually produce some that night photography work that could be used.
- Stick with the theme of light in dark environment?
- Focus on florescent/neon lighting?
- Focus on long exposures?
- Try producing the work with film?
I think this is a really interesting premiss and I think the nature of the images would work perfectly in a book. Lots of double pages spreads on gloss pages!
Idea 3: Architectural Photography
I really enjoyed producing the architectural work for the last assignment and I couldn't have be happier with the work I had at the end, it looked interesting, bold and professional. So naturally I would like to continue it.
- Stick with the same style. Black and white shots of portions of buildings
- Focus on a certain type of building
- Focus on building from a certain time period
- Instead of the book being black and white like last time make it really vibrant and colourful
I think this assignment could work well in a similar was as the night photography, with lots of large double page spreads.
